HISTORY

Our story so far.

The GroLink story started long before the Company ever existed. Back in 1937, Giuseppe Fragapane left his home in Sicily and came to Australia for “a better life”. Although he may not have realised it, his decision was the first step in creating a company that would take another 50 plus years to exist. Giuseppe handed the reigns over to his son Michael in 1975 who decided to diversify the family business in order to survive an increasingly competitive industry and in 1990, established the GroLink Nursery.

The reigns were then handed over to Michaels son David and has since grown to become one of Australia's largest and most renowned Vegetable Seedling Nurseries.

For David, the objective has never changed, it has always been quite simply about growing the perfect plant. To quote David “if we achieve this, everything else will fall into place”.

From humble beginnings.

The evolution of GroLink from humble beginnings to supplying growers all over Australia has been nothing short of exceptional.

GroLink's Managing Director, David Fragapane acknowledges the value of having to learn quickly at a young age in a tough and competitive industry. His passion for and willingness to invest in ongoing infrastructure has been a leading success factor for GroLink.

Thanks to some early tough lessons, strong family values and an innate ability to think, plan and execute solutions at a strategic level, David has created a forward thinking, dynamic and technically advanced Vegetable Seedling Nursery. One that is well placed for continued growth and offers a valuable point of difference for Growers.

By working in partnership with our growers, we provide solutions to meet their specific needs. This enables growers to get a healthy, harvestable plant in the ground every time.

At GroLink, we are all not only encouraged but required to cast a critical eye over the quality of each and every seedling we grow. If it’s not good enough for us, then it’s not good enough for our growers. This is a fundamental rule instilled in the DNA of all GroLink Team members.

A team who are perfectly placed to bring the energy, focus and most importantly, passion required to grow great vegetable seedlings.
